At this year’s IPACK-IMA show, BARRY-WEHMILLER PACKAGING SYSTEMS ITALIA S.r.l., part of the BW Flexible Systems division, will highlight their ability to deliver total solutions to solve customers’ packaging challenges. The show will feature recent equipment innovation that the company has been developing in their new Italian technical centers of excellence, where the company has advanced product testing capabilities, enhanced customer collaboration for complex projects and increased partnership with major material suppliers to run more sustainable materials.
As part of its broader sustainability roadmap, BW Flexible Systems significantly reduced carbon emissions at its Italian facilities by 92% via a partnership with E.ON, one of Europe’s largest operators of energy networks. As of January 1, 2022, the flexible packaging company’s two Italian manufacturing plants are now powered by 100% renewable energy, as certified by E.ON.
